The Walther PPK (Polizei Pistole Kriminal) was produced since 1930. It was developed for a hidden carriage. The engineers from Walther reduced the length, width and weight. The main difference to the PP is the frame with no back strap. this function was integrated in a single molded Grip. Also the grip was shortened, so the clip has only a capacity of 7 rounds. The shortness was balanced with a magazine-shoe on the bottom.

The PPK and the PP were also produced very successfully after war. Even James Bond had an Walther PPK.

Our Assessment: This is a stainless-steel Model PPK/S pistol made by Interarms under license of Walther. After WWII, Walther had Manurhin make parts for their PP and PPK pistols that Walther then finished, stamped with the Walther name and assembled. Manurhin also made pistols under their own name for sale in the United States until the GCA of 1968. In 1978, Walther licensed Interarms to make pistols for them, and this is a PPK/S from that production period. The pistol is chambered in .380 ACP and comes with a total of three stainless-steel Walther magazines. This pistol is in about Fine Plus condition showing some signs of use but none of abuse. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. This is going to make someone a very nice pistol for concealed carry that can also be used for home protection. The PPK pistols are known to be reliable, and the stainless-steel finish on this one will hold-up to handling as well as the elements. Please see our photos and good luck!
